A huge thanks to No Idea Records for helping Bottom of the Hill make its way across the pond. From today youāll be able to find the cassette in the US through No Idea and at participating record shops and on the No Idea's website, so no more hefty international postage.

If you spot one in the wild, send us a photo. Weād love to pretend weāre on an episode of Whatās in My Bag?
Weāre chuffed with how these came out so go add to your collection if youāre in Boise, Saskatoon, Champaign, Chapel Hill, Manitoba and other places weāve never been. But maybe will...
More in the works, but for now, thank you to everyone whoās listened, shared a song, come to a show, bought a tape, or simply told a mate āthis lot are pretty decentā. It means a lot.
Cheers
The secret is out! Achers have joined No Idea Records!! Their first new release in 9 years!
The shipping costs Gods are smiling on you, North America. A cardboard variant āBottom of the Hillā cassette with additional artwork and a nifty lyric sheet which can double as a poster. You can pre-order it at No Idea website.

This is properly wild to us, and for me personally (Pat aka Ache Freely) as I used to put I Hate Myself songs on mixtapes for people in... 2001? Yikes. And saw Planes and Less Than Jake at the Astoria (sp?) around the same time. So to be on such a long lasting label as No Idea alongside bands like Hot Water Music, IHM, Planes Mistaken for Stars, Twelve Hour Turn, Less Than Jake and many more is surreal as hell, and very special. Thanks to Var for making it happen.
Seems thereās also a bit of a tradition of bands getting the No Idea logo tattooed on them so here we are adorned with some temporary tats because weāre 3/4 squeeky clean dorks.

Properly honoured to be working with two great labels either side of the pond in Everything Sucks and No Idea.
Now, Americas, if you sell this out like Deborah Vance at MSG weāll be eternally chuffed. Cheers!
We're back, folks. We're playing an absolute belter of an all dayer hosted by @divineschism on June 28th (a couple of weeks away) at @newriverstudios.
Tickets are here!
We made a lil playlist of bands playing so you can get excited ahead of time. Or go spoiler free and just come on down and trust us that it's all killer no filler.

There's also more news on the horizon....
Our debut EP is out today!!
Listen to it in a streaming service of your choice.

Weāre immensely proud of this ep. In the time itās taken to get together and write it life has both come into the world and gone out of it for us. Becoming parents and losing parents. Itās been a joyful and extremely challenging few years for us individually and the jams and friendships built around them has been a proper tonic. So... thank you to everyone who has followed along for aaaages and thank you to the new followers and listeners. Honestly means a hell of a lot. Thank you to @esmusicldn for putting this out for us and believing in the songs. Thanks to @richmandell for his incredible studio chops and infinite patience. Love to him and Phoebe. And thanks to @dead_air_studios for the mastering excellence and kindness when I emailed and fanboyed over my Ampere 10ā ha.
Iāll go easy on sales patter and the red light is flashing but i genuinely hope you all dig the ep, and if you do, let us know which is your fave. Today is also Bandcamp Friday. What are the odds??!
If you've not seen/heard already we have a new tune. It's called Blue Lights. Get it here. We have a video, too.
It's me, Pat, in rarer gutteral mode and it's heavy in every sense. This was written a year ago at the peak of the horrific images coming out of Gaza. Most of us were glued to our phones and I was no exception.
I was also seeing this whilst juggling being a relatively new dad. Emotionally, I'm set off nowadays by Bluey and a light breeze, so the deluge of imagery in contrast to the sound of toddler toys was a maddening gut punch. And of course the imagery persists there and elsewhere. So, feels weird to even type it as it's draining just playing it.. but I/ we hope you like it.
Weāre like that person still saying Happy New Year on the 20th, but hereās a little playlist of tunes we dug in 2025. Was a great year for music with earworms aplenty. Hope you enjoy it.
Get it on any platform you use.
Also... new music this week? Yeah, why not eh.
GIG ALERT š¢

We're celebrating the launch of our upcoming EP by having an EP launch show (Hurrah!) Feb 8th at the Shacklewell Arms with the help of the maestros @divineschism and with two killer bands @ritualerrorband and @grubbing_band joining us for an evening of killer riffs (and killer violin).
Hope you can all make it down and join us. We're super proud of these songs, and our arses are numb from sitting on them for ages now. Be free lil songs.
See you all there. Tickets on Dice, and it's technically even cheaper than Fugazi if you take inflation into account. Bosh š
Fancy a video? Oh good. The video for our new single 'Bottom of the Hill' is out now. Hop over to our youtube channel to give it a watch.
We sent it to Beavis and Butthead earlier and they said 'Huh huh huh Cool!' so I'd say that thats pretty resounding.
If you've not listened to the single yet, choppity chop (and thanks in advance). And if you have thank you for giving it a whirl. It means a lot to us. The song, and your support. Cheers š
We're super proud of āBottom of the Hillā.
It was recorded by the excellent @richmandell and mastered by Orchid/Ampere legend @dead_air_studios Huge thanks to them both for helping us bring this to life.
It's being put out by the wonderful folks at @esmusicldn who we're chuffed to bits with to work with, and be among such a stacked roster of bands. Big thanks to them.
The song is about growing up working class and feeling unwelcome and uninitiated in middle class environments, whilst simultaneously keeping yourself at a distance. It's about navigating the British Class system, and how if you take the carrot of social mobility it's not without its price. A push-pull on both sides, a traitor and an outsider. A feeling of being between two worlds but if you had to choose (and it sometimes feels like are asked to choose), the pull of your roots and what shaped your early life usually wins out.
We hope you like it ā¤ļø

Have a crackin weekend one and all. See, the year wasnt wrapped up at all! šø @feeltheframe.studio
